EAPA name change

June 21, 2015

Members of the Every Angle Photographer's Association have voted overwhelmingly in favour of a club name change.

As of July 1st 2015 the club will be known as the Brockville Area Photo Club, with the tag line of "covering photography from every angle".

In our new name, the word "photo" represents both photography and photographers, indicating the club's commitment to serve members who are brand new to the world of photography as well as those with many years of experience.

More information will be posted here as we transition other aspects of the club over the summer.

The first meeting of the Brockville Area Photo Club will be Wednesday September 2nd in room B227 of St. Lawrence College. Anyone interested in joining our club is free to attend our first two meetings on September 2 and September 16.

Art in the City press release

May 23, 2015

Club members Larry Bolton, Alex Loshak, Keith Hare, Elaine Lamond and Susan Somers are representing EAPA at this year's Art in the City tour. Below is a press release we received about the upcoming event. We hope you can get out to support the artists.
Art In the City Brockville 2015
June 27th & 28th
The 1000 Islands region of Ontario is known for its natural beauty, historical sites, recreational opportunities and cultural richness.
On June 27th & 28th, artists and artisans of many genres, hosted by area businesses, galleries and the Wall Street United Church, will be adding to the allure of Brockville by presenting their creations, during the 9th Annual Brockville Art in the City Studio Tour.
The Art in the City tour is easily traversed by foot, bicycle or car with 7 posted stops around the picturesque home and garden laden streets of downtown Brockville.

Allow yourself to enjoy encounters with woodworkers creating handcrafted writing instruments, furniture and kitchenware, using a variety of woods and salvaged lumber.
Admire the symmetry of practical, hand woven basketry for everyday use.
Pause and imagine yourself wearing gorgeous, one of a kind and limited edition jewellery creations showcasing traditional gold and metal smithing techniques, artistic wirework, precious metals, gemstones or elements of wood.
Reflect on the vision of recycled material fashions created for kids and adults.
Discover the world's beauty and majesty as seen through the lenses of photographers creating fine art from vast landscapes to the amazing world of macro imagery.
Preserve your precious memories in fun and fanciful miniature scrapbooks designed using paint, paper, fabrics, ink, wood and notions.
Experience bold, colourful and expressive works from painters and collage artists who will delight you with a diverse mixture of eclectic, whimsical and impressionist paintings, using watercolours, acrylics, glass and tiles.
Be entranced by imagery created in graphite, colour pencil or pastels along with fantastical illustrations of voyages through time and space.

Admission is free and the works of art are available for purchase at reasonable prices or realize your own creative vision by commissioning one of our artists or artisans to create custom items for you.
Lunch and snacks will be available at many local shops and restaurants in and around the tour route. Snacks will also be available at the Wall Street United Church, Stop #1.
Proceeds from food sales at Stop # 1 will support Our Kenyan Kids, a local charity that provides assistance to needy children in Kenya.
Brochures are available in many locations throughout the city in May and June.
